General Information  

Beautiful Brazilian Red Hots Alternanthera rooted loves humidity and is heat tolerant. It’s a frost tender shrub, so it will need to be planted in a sheltered position to protect it from light frost. In frost-free areas Brazilian Red Hots Alternanthera can be planted in full sun to part shade. It requires well drained moist soils.

APPEARANCE: Ozbreed variety. Hot pink-red foliage with small white flowers during spring on a small, vigorous growing shrub. This Ozbreed variety prefers warm and humid conditions.
USE IN: Perfect used in tropical gardens for a splash of color. Ideal for low hedges, borders and ground cover. Beautiful in groups as a mass display of color. Suited to containers.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to part shade position in the garden. Protect from frost.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune as required to maintain form and fertilize with a slow release fertilizer in spring. Provide plenty of water during the summer heat.
