  1. When the soil is dry, water your plant. Aroids dislike being overly wet. Try watering your plants every other week.
  2. Watering should be done on a regular basis so that the plant is not over or under-watered. Both can put the plant under stress.
  3. This tropical plant thrives in humidity. This Philodendron will thrive in dry climates if a humidifier is nearby. Alternatively, place a pebble tray filled halfway with water beneath the pot.
  4. Reduce watering during the dormant winter months too when the soil is dry.
This plant should never have wet feet. When the top 2 inches of soil are dry, water. When soil is compacted, the bottom of the soil can remain wet, promoting root rot.
