philodendron erubescens white princess
Philodendron Erubescens White Princess is a terrific, rare species from tropical rain forests in South America. It’s a self-heading aroid with green pointy leaves and white variegated blotches. Provide good light for maximum variegation, but no direct sunlight.. This makes it unique from most other philodendrons which are distinctly vine-like.
You probably heard of White Wizard, White Knight and White Princess and are wondering how to tell them apart? Philodendron White Princess has different leaf shape from the other two. The leaf is visibly narrower and pointy plus the stems are green with hint of red. Philodendron White Knight has rounder leaves and red stems. Philodendron White Wizard has also rounder leaves but the stems are green.
Philodendron Care Tips
Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright indirect light, but will tolerate darker spots as well.
Use a well-draining potting mix, such as our Aroid Potting Mix, ideally containing some coco coir, bark and perlite. You can also grow Philodendrons in soil-less mixes like sphagnum moss and perlite or hydroponics.
Philodendrons like their soil to dry between watering’s. Water when the top 3cm of soil are totally dry to the touch.
Most Philodendron, especially the Erubesecens varieties, will thrive in average humidity. However, some of the more tropical and velvety species will require higher humidity to survive.
All Philodendron are toxic to humans and animals if ingested.
